  Plantar Warts

  verruca plantaris

The human papilloma virus - HPV, causes several different types of warts, which are the most common type of skin infection. In some cases, the HPV virus dies within 1 or 2 years, and warts simply disappear. Verrucas, also called Warts, well-defined small growth of varying shape on the skin surface, caused by a virus. The wart is composed of an abnormal proliferation of cells of the epidermis; the overproduction of these cells is caused by the viral infection. The most common type of wart is a round, raised lesion having a dry and rough surface; flat or threadlike lesions are also seen. Warts are usually painless, except for those in pressure areas, such as the plantar warts, or Verrucas, that occur on the sole of the foot. They may occur as isolated lesions or grow profusely, especially in moist regions of the body surface.

Papilloma-virus also spelled Papilloma virus any of a group of viruses belonging to the family Papillomaviridae that infect birds and mammals, causing warts - Papilloma, and other benign tumours in humans. They are small polygonal viruses containing circular double-stranded DNA, and more than 55 distinct types of human Papilloma Viruses - HPV's, are now known on the basis of analysis of their DNA. Skin warts are of two types, flat warts - which are superficial and usually on the hands and plantar warts on the soles of the feet and on the toes.

Genital and venereal warts - Condylomata Acuminata are caused by other types of Papilloma Virus. This is a nasty and painful disease and can be avoided by wearing a condom. Protect yourself whilst having sex at all times. Warts, Herpes, AIDS, unwanted Pregnancies, and Cervical Cancer can be avoided with sensible protection.

Most Papillomas, whether found on the skin or in the mucous membranes of the genital, anal, or oral cavities, are benign and may actually go unnoticed for years, until they start to cluster. A minority of genital and venereal warts, however, are visible, painful, or itchy. The Papilloma Viruses that cause these warts are transmitted by sexual intercourse, and it is estimated that about 10 percent of the adult population in developed countries has Papilloma infections of the genital tract

A number of Papilloma Viruses have been linked with various pre-cancerous lesions and malignant tumors, especially cervical cancers. In fact, one or more of these high-risk type HPV's has been found in more than 90 percent of women diagnosed with cervical cancer. Their presence can be detected through an ordinary pap smear.

The cauliflower shape is " Condyloma " and is one kind of filterable virus infections;  called HPV  - Human Papilloma Virus, . This virus is a DNA virus, and belongs to papovavirus and attacks the reproductive organ, where it is warm and damp. Many victims will produce an anti-body and not show symptoms, but then most can become quite severe.

A single wart may persist for many years without change, or it may spread and give rise to satellite warts in other parts of the body. Warts are considered contagious. Methods of treatment are many but are generally aimed at removing the wart with a minimum of scarring. These methods range from the application of acids or other chemicals that gradually dissolve the wart to surgical excision, which remains the quickest procedure. Warts sometimes disappear spontaneously.

Genital Warts

Some children often find it difficult not scratching or biting warts on their hands, or body, which can cause the warts to bleed and break up, making them spread further. Warts may also infect indirectly, especially from hard floors, for example in bathrooms and swimming pools.

Plantar Warts or verruca plantaris develop for the most part at points of pressure on the foot such as the heels, or the metatarsal heads. They can, however, occur anywhere on the sole. They are normally surrounded by a thick sometimes painful callus that forms in response to pressure. Frequently, one can see black dots on the surface representing thrombosed capillaries. The wart virus is very contagious, and the skin cells on the warts release thousands of viruses, so touching the wart or skin cells on it releases the virus, which can then infect other victims. It can take several months for warts and Verrucas to develop after infection

A foot with Verrucas releases virus infected cells onto the floor. The wet and more receptive skin of others may then become infected. People with worn skin, scratches or cuts on the soles of their feet are especially vulnerable. But not all people are predisposed to the virus, some are just carriers. When children share bathrooms that contain wart viruses, some of them will get Verrucas, while others seem to be totally immune. The reason for this is not known, but needless to say, we are all different and we all have differing propensities to various conditions.

Plantar warts are benign, meaning that they are non cancerous and this sub-species develop on the sole of the foot or the plantar surface, generally the heel, or ball of the foot. Pressure from standing and walking often causes them to grow into deep layers of the skin. The Human Papilloma Virus - HPV,  causes many different types of warts, which are some of the most widespread type of skin infection. In some cases, the HPV virus can de-colonize and die-off within 1 or 2 years, and warts simply disappear.

Look After Your Feet        HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FEET

Any person can contract the HPV Plantar Virus that causes plantar warts, or Verrucas, but according to podiatric medical experts, plantar warts occur most often in children and young adults between the ages of 12 and 16. Of course it has to be around to catch it, and unguarded incidence are higher in people who share common bathing areas, like gyms, bathing pools, and communal bathrooms. So prevention is far better than the cure. Keep your feet clean, and do not walk anywhere barefoot, where you might consider an area might contain an infection. Advise your children.

Plantar warts can occur when the HPV virus invades the body through tiny cuts or breaks in the skin, on the soles of the feet. The virus is pressed into the exposed parts and sets up home. Generally, antibodies in the blood destroy the HPV, but in some cases, it takes refuge in the skin-layers, out of the way from our bodily defences, and causes the Verruca.

Plantar warts, or Verrucas are usually rough and firm to spongy, and most are grey or brown, with dark pinpoints, clotted blood, which are thrombosed capillaries that supply blood to the wart. Moreover, just like the proverbial ice-berg the part on the surface of the skin is mush less than the entire Verruca. Often, the portion of the wart under the skin is at least twice as big as the part you can see. In some cases, pressure from standing and walking prevents it from rising above the skin surface.

If left untreated, like most warts, Verrucas can grow quite significantly and also develop into unsightly wart-clusters - sometimes called Mosaic Warts. Whilst easily recognized a biopsy test in a pathology-lab will confirm it is HPV.

This is perhaps the most severe case of warts ever found. A man named Dede, from Indonesian, the Tree Man, whose life has been ruined by strange root-like growths that have sprouted from his hands and feet, is hoping a US doctor can help him.

Almost all of us can be subjected to Warts / Verrucas or the HPV Virus, we will all suffer it in various degrees. The Tree Man have a failing in his immune that is unable to fight this virus on any level thus it has run riot within his body.

Tea-tree oil is well known for treating verrucas and warts on other parts the body. A more natural and effective treatment is to apply the inside of a banana skin to the verruca. Rub the inner skin against the verruca for a few minutes two or three times a day or cut out a piece of banana skin large enough to cover the verruca, tape it over the verruca to hold it in place, and leave it overnight.

Blood cells

There are a number of different cell types in circulation in the blood stream. Here's a quick review:

Red cells carry oxygen to the cells of the body. They are essentially bags of hemoglobin, the oxygen carrying molecule. Hemoglobin binds oxygen to iron atoms, which give the hemoglobin and thus the cells their distinctive red color.

White cells (neutrophils) are of several types:

Polymorphonuclear cells, or "polys" for short, fight bacterial infections by engulfing bacteria and digesting them. They form PUS and are the chief ingredient of an abscess.

Lymphocytes are the virus killers. There are two types of these:

T-cells which remember what germs we've been exposed to and how to kill them. T-cells are the key component of the immune system that is missing in AIDS.

T-Cells and Platelets - One White Cell - Several Red.

B-cells that secrete the actual antibodies that attach to viruses and bacteria and identify them as things to be destroyed - rather like tagging the target with a laser so that the smart bomb will home in and blast the target.

Monocytes are cells that are related to lymphocytes but have a killing and cleaning function. They cruise through the tissues of the body cleaning up debris and killing any bacteria they find. They are often increased in viral infections - a reassuring finding that your doctor may note on your child's blood count.

Eosinophils are cells which are strongly related to allergy and the recognition of foreign things in the body like parasites.

Basophils are cells that are also part of the allergy and parasite recognition system.

Platelets are the cells that plug leaks in the vascular system, the clotting cells.

Prion - An an infectious protein particle called a Prion or Prion Protein. These prions appear to have the ability to recruit other normal proteins and induce them to alter their structure to become more prions, that act as vehicles of infection. This is quite different from other infectious diseases, commonly caused by bacteria or viruses. Prions are not a genetic.
